For serious productivity, get an 844K Series II Wheel Loader. Like all of the K-Series, our biggest loader was designed by employing big ideas from customers. Enhancements include all-new heavier-duty axles with traction-boosting locking differential and auto-engagement options for fewer spin-outs and reduced tire wear. And six-percent more full-turn tip-load capacity, plus a wider stance when equipped with optional low-profile tires — for even more stability. But not everything is new. HYDRAULICS

Pressure-compensating, Load-sensing HydraulicsExcavator-style hydraulics sense the load and deliver the flow needed for smooth, combined functions and fast work cycles.In-tank FiltrationThe in-tank filter with large element traps that hold contamination allow for cleaner oil, a cleaner hydraulic system, and less maintenance. Service intervals are extended to 4,000 hours. The hydraulic filter is a common part for the 444K—844K.Pressure Test PortsEasily accessible hydraulic diagnostic ports enable quick pressure checks and minimize the possibility of introducing contaminants.Main Hydraulic PumpThe 744K—844K have two hydraulic pumps. The main hydraulic pump is mounted to the transmission and driven at engine speed. The hydraulic system is closed center and load sensing. All loaders utilize a variable-displacement axial-piston pump. A diagnostic quick-coupling is provided for testing load-sensing pressure.

ENGINE

Optional IT4 engineThe EPA IT4-certified engine provides the same horsepower and torque as that of a Tier 3 engine. The IT4 engine utilizes an automatic regeneration process which periodically cleans the filter without impacting machine productivity.
Optional IT4 engineThe cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology is simple, fuel efficient, field proven, fully integrated, and fully supported. It features a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) to reduce particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides. The DPF traps particulate matter and ash. The DPF service interval is 5,000 hours.

Z-Bar linkageZ-Bar linkages provide high bucket breakout forces, good rollback to carry loads without spilling, and very solid stability. With pin-on attachment or attachment coupler. A Z-Bar loader with an attachment coupler adds versatility, reduces cost when used in a variety of applications, enables fast cycle times, and lowers operating weights.
Powerllel™ LinkageParallel lift that's simply unparalleled. Our innovative design separates the bell crank from the cross tube, attaching instead to the loader frame via a Y-shaped link. This free-floating bell-crank design allows load forces to work with, not against, the boom for big breakout force, even in difficult digging. Impressive torque throughout the entire dump and rollback range enables these loaders to excel at a wide variety of material-handling tasks.
Powerllel loader with Hi-Vis attachment couplerHi-vis and Worksite Pro™ couplers let you change attachments from the cab quickly and easily. Go from bucket to forks to whatever, and do more with one machine.
High-LiftHigh-Lifts provide high bucket breakout forces, good rollback to carry loads without spilling, and very solid stability with lighter materials. High-Lift is recommended for high-sided truck and hopper applications.

NEVERGREASE™ PIN JOINTS

NeverGrease optionThe NeverGrease™ option includes a pin-joint system for the linkage and boom joints that eliminates greasing, extends pin-joint life, and provides consistent life across the system.
Increase your productivityNeverGrease pin joints remain tight longer for more productive operation.
Roller-bearing bushingThe NeverGrease system utilizes self-lubricating bushings along with chrome-plated pins to form the pin joint. Roller-bearing bushings are sealed and lubricated for life. They are used at the boom-to-bucket joint of the 744K—844K. The rest of the joints on the 744K—844K use the filament-wound bushing.
Filament-wound bushings (544K-844K)Filament-wound bushings are used on all joints of the 544K—724K Loaders. This is a self-lubricating, Teflon®-embedded element.

QUAD-COOL™

Quad-CoolQuad-Cool™ places the radiator, air-conditioner condenser, intercooler, and hydraulic, transmission, and optional axle coolers in a unique boxed bulkhead configuration that's isolated from engine heat. The system utilizes large, three-mm perforated side shields to pre-screen the air and decrease air velocity to minimize debris ingestion.
Swing-out fanSwing-out, hydraulically driven, proportional fan provides unmatched access and minimizes engine load and fuel consumption by turning only as fast as necessary.
Wide-open accessUnique Quad-Cool system provides wide-open access to both sides of the coolers for easy clean-out.
Reversing fanFor heavy airborne-debris applications, the optional reversing fan back-blows the cooling system at 120-percent fan speed at programmable increments from 20–40 minutes to keep things running clean and cool. The operator can spend more time moving dirt and less time cleaning plugged coolers.

Keyless StartKeyless start is standard equipment on K-Series models — pushing the green button on the sealed-switch module starts the engine.
Security ModesThe security function requires a code to be entered at engine startup. Owner, operator, and transport codes are set via the monitor. The security function can be turned off if desired.
