4Rivers Equipment Raised Over $50,000 for Shield 616

Posted on July 31, 2018

Colorado Springs, CO – John Deere dealership, 4Rivers Equipment, hosted an Open House in support of Shield 616, which successfully raised $50,800.

The mission behind Shield 616 is to equip as many first responders with necessary, advanced active shooter/crowd control protective gear. The group provides officers with vests, ballistic plates, helmets, glasses, gas mask pouches, gunshot wound first aid kits and an optic device for better vision in long-range situations.

All proceeds of 4Rivers’s Open House went directly to Shield 616. Attendees were able to see and pose for pictures with a special edition John Deere Excavator, wrapped with the Shield 616 and 4Rivers logos.

First responders in attendance were Security Fire, Colorado Springs Fire, Colorado Springs Police, Fountain Police, and El Paso County Sheriff. Presentation of the vests that were able to be purchased from the proceeds of the Open House will take place sometime in August or September.
