4Rivers Equipment’s Clinic Expo big success with local FFA chapters Rocky Ford, CO – Each year, FFA chapters around the country celebrate National FFA Week. It’s a time to share what FFA is and the impact it has on members every day. This year, it takes place February 16th – 24th and 4Rivers Equipment helped kick it off in a big way. 4Rivers Equipment recently hosted a John Deere Product Clinic Expo at their location in Rocky Ford. While having over 13 stations available to learn about Tech Solutions, Ag Equipment and Shortline brands, local FFA chapters were also invited to participate and get some hands-on experience.
In addition, an FFA Trivia Fundraiser was held with the top participating schools putting their knowledge to the test for additional donations. Fowler not only had the largest number of students participating with 29 students in attendance, but they were also the FFA Trivia Fundraiser winner, receiving $500 for their local chapter. Rocky Ford was runner-up, receiving $250 towards their local chapter.
In total, 4Rivers Equipment’s Clinic Expos help raised over $4,700 for the surrounding FFA chapters. “FFA Students are a huge part of our future here at 4Rivers.” said General Manager Ag Division, Mike Meth. “Not only are there future farmers in the group, but there are future technicians, ag-robotics engineers, data scientists and teachers in these groups.” Meth added, “We have been supporters of the FFA and Colorado Young Farmers for many decades, but this year we really wanted to engage with them on a different level. We were really encouraged to see these students on the stage during FFA Trivia confidently responding to things they learned at the Expo. We hope we sparked some interest in the careers available in the ag industry!”
